Zen Day #5 – Poem

Calm Beneath the Water

Great waves wash over the seas of my mind

The waters are calm beneath the surface

I release the anchor and sink

But do not drown

Miao He

My brothers and I enjoying a tea ceremony to reflect on our first weeks together

Day #4 – Meditation

Walking through a forest at night

the last hour before dawn is the darkest

Timelessness holds you

Until it is time to greet the sun

– Miao He

Beautiful light patches on a snowy night

Day #3 – Grey Blues

Grey town bums solemnly sit

Wandering lost or hopeful

Heavy pockets stay heavy

– Miao He

Some things are better enjoyed together

Day #2 ~

Is it a zen poem or a haiku?

It is neither

It is both

– Miao He / Miao Zhi

Snowy escapes with the animals allow me to free my mind from any of the days distractions

Day #1 – Mountain Top

Sat atop the mountain

There is clarity in the void

Float down the spring on a breathe

And climb back up

– Miao He

Odin the white mountain dog!
